Create a Personnel List page

Create a headline and introduction for the page

The first thing to build for a Personnel List page is a General Content component with the headline and introductory text for the page, highlighted in red in the example pictured. Below are the steps for creating this component:

1. In the 020 section, navigate to the folder where your content for this page will reside.
2. Create a new component and complete the following fields:
   1. Name: enter a name for the component here
   2. Schema: select General Content
   3. Title: enter the headline for your page here. 
   4. Content: enter the introductory text that will go at the top of your page. This is a rich-text field, so you can add other elements like images, links, etc.
3. Save and Close your component

Create the Personnel components

For each person that will appear on your page, you'll need to create a separate Personnel component. Below are the fields to complete, along with tips for completing them: 

1. Name: enter a name for your component here. 
2. Schema: select Personnel
3. Prefix: if your person uses a prefix, such as Mr. or Mrs., enter it here. 
4. First name: enter the first name for your person
5. Middle Initial: enter their middle initial, if known
6. Last name: enter the last name for your person
7. Suffix: enter any suffix's, such as Sr. or Jr.
8. Title: enter any titles, such as PhD
9. Organization: enter the name of the organization this person is with
10. Organization URL: enter the URL for the organization
11. Email: enter an email address for the person
12. Phone: enter a phone number for the person
13. Alternate Phone #: if needed, enter an alternate phone number for the person
14. Alternate Phone # Label: enter a label for the alternate phone number, such as "work" or "cell"
15. Photo: this is the photo that will appear on the Personnel Detail page. To select a photo, click the browse folder icon , navigate to the folder where the photo is located, and select it.
16. Thumbnail: this is the photo that will appear on the Personnel List page. To select a photo, click the browse folder icon , navigate to the folder where the photo is located, and select it.
17. Biography: if you intend to set up individual biography-style pages for each person, enter the biography for the person here. This is the text that will appear on the Personnel Detail page. This is a rich-text field that accepts bold font, italics, bulleted lists, and more. 

Save and Close the component.

Repeat these steps for each person that will appear on the page.

Create Personnel List page

1. In the 050 section, navigate to (or create) the structure group where the Personnel List page will reside.
2. Create a new page.
3. Fill in the Name, File Name, Page Display Name, Dublin Core Title, and Dublin Core Description fields.
4. For the Page Template field, uncheck the "Inherit From Parent" box, and select Personnel List from the drop-down.
5. Click the Design tab.
6. Click the Add button:
   1. Navigate to the General Content component you created in step 1, select it, apply the Page Introduction component template, and insert it into the page.
   2. Navigate to the Personnel components you created in step 2, select them, and apply the Personnel List component template to all.
7. Close the Insert Component Presentation pop-up window.
8. Save and Close your page.

Publish the Personnel List page

When you've completed all the steps above, then all you need to do next is publish your page.

Navigate to the page you built in step 3, right-click on it and select Publishing > Publish.

Select the site you wish to publish to and click Publish. This will send the page to the publishing queue. 

You will need to republish the navigation after publishing a new page.
