    Publishing and Unpublishing the Header, Footer, and Head Tags

    The Header, Footer, and Head Tags are all located in the Site Layout folder within your website. The specific path for each file is:

    • Footer: 050 [Your agency] Website > Building Blocks > Website Content > Site Layout > Footer > Footer
    • Header: 050 [Your agency] Website > Building Blocks > Website Content > Site Layout > Header > Header
    • Head Tag: 050 [Your agency] Website > Building Blocks > Website Content > Site Layout > Head Tag > Head Tag

    *If your website address starts with https://mn.gov/boards/..., then your components will be found in the Site Layout folder located at: 050 Boards Website > Building Blocks > Website Content > > Site Layout > Boards > [Name or Acronym of Your Board] 

    Publishing the Header, Footer, and Head Tags

    There are two options for publishing any of these files:

    1. Right-click on the page and select Publishing > Publish
    2. Click once on the page to select it, and then select Publish from the top ribbon

    After completing one of the options above, a pop-up window will appear. On the left side of the screen, select the environment(s) that you wish to publish to. 

    Tip: We recommend always publishing to Staging first, and checking your work, before publishing to Live.

    Unpublishing the Footer, Header, or Head Tag

    We do not recommend unpublishing any of these files, doing so will remove them entirely from your website. If you have made changes to any of the files, simply republish the file to make the changes appear.
