Sample Code component

The Sample Code component allows you to insert raw code examples on your webpage(s).

The Sample Code component is not available to all users and requires elevated permissions to access. Please contact us if you would like access to this component.

The Basics of a Sample Code Component

Below are the fields to complete, along with tips for completing them. To see where each of these fields render on the published page, please click the Component Template tab above.
1. Name: enter a name for your component.
2. Schema: select Sample Code
3. Code Sample:
  1. Which programming language are you pasting here?: Select CSS, HTML, or Javascript from the drop-down menu.
  2. Type in your sample code: Either type or paste your sample code into this box.
4. Show a preview: Select Yes or No from the drop-down menu, to opt to show a preview of your sample code.
5. Save and Close the component.
Component Templates

Below is an example of how Sample Code component content is rendered on the page:
- The name of the selected programming language (#3.a) appears in the top left ribbon.
- The preview (#4), if selected, appears as a clickable tab within the sample code window.
- The sample code (#3.b), and rendered preview code, display within the sample code window.
