Multimedia Gallery Configuration component

Component Basics

Below are the fields to complete, along with tips for completing them. To see where each of these fields render on the published page, please click the Component Template tab above.

1. Name: enter a name for your component. 
2. Schema: select Multimedia Gallery Configuration
3. Initial Display Type: select either gallery or list from the drop-down menu. What you select here will determine the default view for the page. The gallery view will display thumbnails for your items, as well as displaying the items in columns. The list view displays all the items in a datagrid-style table. 
4. Column Count: if you're using the gallery view, select the number of columns for your Multimedia Gallery here. You can pick 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 columns from the drop-down.
5. Video Autoplay: select either true or false from the drop-down menu. If you select true, your videos will autoplay when they load. If you select false, they will not autoplay.
6. Audio Autoplay: select either true or false from the drop-down menu. If you select true, your audio will autoplay when it loads. If you select false, it will not autoplay.

Below are examples of how Multimedia Gallery Configuration component content is rendered on a Multimedia Gallery page.

Multimedia Gallery - gallery view

The picture below shows a Multimedia Gallery with the Initial Display Type (#3) field set to Gallery. This means multimedia items are shown in a set number of columns, with optional thumbnails. Compare to the Multimedia Gallery - Item view shown below. 

In the picture below, the Column Count (#4) field is set to 3. Thus, there are three columns of items shown in the gallery below.

Multimedia Gallery - Item view

The following view shows a Multimedia Gallery with the Initial Display Type (#3) field set to List. This means multimedia items are shown in individual rows. In this display, the Column Count field does not apply.
