Create a Location Page

Create a headline and introduction for the page

The first thing to build for a Location page is a General Content component with the headline and introductory text for your page, highlighted in red in the example pictured. Below are the steps for creating this component:

1. In the 020 section, navigate to the folder where your content for this page will reside.
2. Create a new component and complete the following fields:
   1. Name: enter a name for the component here
   2. Schema: select General Content
   3. Title: enter the headline for your page here. 
   4. Content: enter the introductory text that will go at the top of your page. This is a rich-text field, so you can add other elements like images, links, etc.
3. Save and Close your component

Create the Location component

Below are the fields to complete, along with tips for completing them: 

1. Name: enter a name for your component. 
2. Schema: select Location
3. Location Name: enter the name of your location here. 
4. Address: enter the first or only line of the address here.
5. Address continued: if your address has a second line, enter it here.
6. City: enter the city for your location here.
7. State: enter the state for your location here.
8. Zip Code: enter the zip code for your location here.
9. Phone: (optional) enter a phone number for your location here.
10. Email Address: (optional) enter an email address for your location here.
11. Business Hours: (optional) enter the hours and days of the week that your location is open.
12. Latitude: enter the latitude for your location here. If you don't know it, click the blue linked title for this field. That will open a pop-up where you can enter the address for your location and get the latitude/longitude. Copy and paste it into this field.
13. Longitude: enter the longitude for your location here. If you don't know it, follow the instructions in the Latitude field above for getting it, and copy/paste it into this field.
14. Photo: (optional) to enter a photo of your location, click the browse folder icon , navigate to the image you want to use, and select it.
15. Notes: this is a rich-text field, which allows you to create sub-headings, bulleted lists, bold words, and more. Some sites have used this area to add additional information about parking and public transit options.

Save and Close the component.

Create Location page

1. In the 050 section, navigate to (or create) the structure group where the Location page will reside.
2. Create a new page.
3. Fill in the Name, File Name, Page Display Name, Dublin Core Title, and Dublin Core Description fields.
4. For the Page Template field, uncheck the "Inherit From Parent" box, and select Location page from the drop-down.
5. Click the Design tab.
6. Click the Add button:
   1. Navigate to the General Content component you created in step 1, select it, apply the Page Introduction component template, and insert it into the page.
   2. Navigate to the Location component you created in step 2, select it, and apply the Location component template.
7. Close the Insert Component Presentation pop-up window.
8. Save and Close your page.

Publish the Location page

When you've completed all the steps above, then all you need to do next is publish your page.

Navigate to the page you built in step 3, right-click on it and select Publishing > Publish.

Select the site you wish to publish to and click Publish. This will send the page to the publishing queue. 

You will need to republish the navigation after publishing a new page.
