Location components

Create This Page Sample PageLocation components are the foundation for creating a Location page. They are fairly straightforward when it comes to creating and inserting them into a page.

The Basics of a Location Component

Below are the fields to complete, along with tips for completing them. To see where each of these fields render on the published page, please click the Component Template tab above.
1. Name: enter a name for your component.
2. Schema: select Location
3. Location Name: enter the name of your location here.
4. Address: enter the first or only line of the address here.
5. Address continued: if your address has a second line, enter it here.
6. City: enter the city for your location here.
7. State: enter the state for your location here.
8. Zip Code: enter the zip code for your location here.
9. Phone: (optional) enter a phone number for your location here.
10. Email Address: (optional) enter an email address for your location here.
11. Business Hours: (optional) enter the hours and days of the week that your location is open.
12. Latitude: enter the latitude for your location here. If you don't know it, click the blue linked title for this field. That will open a pop-up where you can enter the address for your location and get the latitude/longitude. Copy and paste it into this field.
13. Longitude: enter the longitude for your location here. If you don't know it, follow the instructions in the Latitude field above for getting it, and copy/paste it into this field.
14. Photo: (optional) to enter a photo of your location, click the browse folder icon , navigate to the image you want to use, and select it.
15. Notes: this is a rich-text field, which allows you to create sub-headings, bulleted lists, bold words, and more. Some sites have used this area to add additional information about parking and public transit options.
Component Templates

Below is an example of how Location component content is rendered on a Location page:
- The Location Name (#3), Address (#4, #5), City (#6), State (#7), Zip Code (#8), Phone (#9), Email Address (#10), and Business Hours (#11) fields all display in a chunk on the top right of the page.
- The Latitude (#12) and Longitude (#13) fields are what generate the map and driving directions link.
- If you insert a Photo (#14), it will display in the top left corner.
- Under the photo, but above the map, a Notes (#15) area is available for adding additional information to your location page.
