Newly updated social media icons for your footer

This update is a pretty significant change for the footers of Tridion websites.  In addition to the changeover from Twitter to X, the footer now supports other social media platforms and has removed older, antiquated platforms no longer available.

This update shims in social media icons from FontAwesome 6 into our present version 4.7.

Files updated:

  • fa.custom.less. // new icons and loading in brands font
  • layout.page.less // adjusting heading size on Connect and Subscribe
  • layout.footer.social-media.js  // updated the array to include new social networks and to swap the 'fa' class for 'fa-brands'.

Files added:

  • fa-brands-400.ttf // place in "fa-6" subfolder of "fonts"

NO change to the footer template building blocks.

To receive this update:

  1. Republish your core.css page assembly along with any subsite core stylesheets.
  2. Republish your core.js file
