Adding a Register to Vote link in your website's footer
We want to encourage everyone to register and get out to vote this November, and one way is to add this link in your website's footer. It's quick and easy to do, and to assist you we've supplied instructions for both Tridion and non-Tridion content managers.
Instructions for Tridion users
We've recently added in a new select field in your footer component at the very bottom, offering you a choice of mn.gov logos to add into your footer. In addition to the standard mn minnesota logo, we've also added two additional options for selecting the register to vote logo noted in the screenshots below.
Knowing which logo to choose
If your website has a darker colored footer (e.g. the branded Minnesota blue or dark gray), you would choose "register-to-vote-white" from the list of options. If your website has a lighter colored footer (e.g. white or light gray), you'd choose "register-to-vote-blue".
After you've made your selection, save and close the footer component, and then republish out to your website. You do not need to republish your CSS for this new feature.
Instructions for non-Tridion users
Whether you're running Drupal, a static website, or any other CMS, you can add the following lines of code to your website's footer. Similarly to the options for Tridion users, you have the choice of a white (reversed) logo for dark colored footers, or a blue/green logo for lighter colored footers. Simply copy the HTML, insert into your footer, and publish out your changes per your website's workflow for updating your site.
