Minnesota IT Services manages all information technology security practices for the State of Minnesota. It is our duty to protect the information entrusted to us by Minnesotans. While MNIT exceeds standard security measures, we remain vigilant. We are aware of cyber-criminals who seek to gain unauthorized access to state systems. Because of this, we are on duty all day, every day keeping state data secure.

Whole-of-State Plan
MNIT, in partnership with the Minnesota Cybersecurity Task Force, released a 2023 Whole-of-State Cybersecurity Plan to strengthen local government cyber defenses. The whole-of-state approach presents a strong, united front against cybersecurity threats. It will also be used to distribute $23.5 million of funding from the federal State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) and the Minnesota Legislature.
