• Telephone clinic. This telephone clinic is once per month (on the 3rd Thursday* - 1:30 pm-4:30 pm). The phone clinic involves a 30-minute consultation with an attorney over the phone. The attorney will call the clinic customer at a set time. 
• Am I eligible to attend this clinic? 
  • You must have a case that is appealable to the Minnesota Court of Appeals or Minnesota Supreme Court to attend the clinic. For information about appealable orders and judgments, see the Minnesota Rules of Civil Appellate Procedure and our Appeals Guide. 
    • Note: This clinic does not assist individuals wanting to appeal a felony or gross misdemeanor criminal case.
  • You may not attend this clinic if you are already represented by a lawyer. 
    
  • There is no income qualification required for attendance.
  • New clinic customers will have priority over those who have previously attended the clinic.

  • This is a brief advice clinic for people who are representing themselves in appeals to the Minnesota Court of Appeals or Minnesota Supreme Court.
  • The clinic attorney is not obligated to represent you in your case. You remain responsible for all aspects of your legal matter.
    
• Request an appointment using the link above. Law library staff will review your request to determine if you are eligible for the clinic. 
  

• IMPORTANT: Attending the clinic does not extend your time to appeal.
