DanThe Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is sharing the personal stories and experiences of our Veterans through a series of audio interviews.

These 90-second segments will explore the challenges faced by some Veterans and the MDVA services and support available to Veterans and their families.

Shortly after concluding military service, Dan lost his brother to suicide and attempted suicide himself. Through treatment and support, Dan is committed to redirecting his pain to help other Veterans who are struggling. /mdva/assets/mdva-dan-h-01_tcm1066-685793.wavListen to Dan’s story.

After deployment to Iraq, Dan found the transition home challenging. Dan felt a loss of camaraderie, teamwork and service. Now committed to supporting fellow Veterans who are struggling, Dan feels reconnected to a higher purpose. /mdva/assets/mdva-dan-h-02_tcm1066-685795.wavHear Dan share more.
