The MN Veterans Home Minneapolis is located at 5101 Minnehaha Ave. South, between the Mississippi River and Minnehaha Creek in south Minneapolis, by Wabun and Minnehaha Falls Parks.
North
Take Hwy 94 or Hwy 35W going South all the way into downtown Minneapolis. You will want to exit onto Hwy 55 (Hiawatha) heading SE out of downtown Minneapolis. Take Hiawatha all the way to E 46th Street and then take a left. Take E46th Street to 46th Avenue S and take a Right on 46th Avenue S. Go one block to the stop sign, in front of you will be the entrance to the Minnesota Veterans Home Campus, follow the long road into the campus. When you come to the stop sign the building directly in front of you is Bldg. 19, the main entrance.
South
Take either Hwy 35W, or Hwy 77 (Cedar Avenue) going North to Hwy 62 East. Take Hwy 62 to Hwy 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) going North. At the second stop light, 54th Street take a right into Minnehaha Park. Follow 54th Street as it winds through the park until you come to the rotary. Stay right and follow Godfrey Parkway until you see a sign on the right hand side identifying the entrance to the Minneapolis Veterans Home, turn right and follow road to Bldg. 19 (the main entrance). The Bridge is open to local traffic if you choose to use instead of access thru Wabun park.
East
Take Hwy 94 West to Cretin/Vandalia Exit take a left at stop light, take Cretin all the way to the end, you will see the Ford Plant in front of you, take a right onto Ford Pkwy and go across the Ford Bridge. Take a left at the first stop light on to 46th Avenue South. Go one block to the stop sign and the entrance to the Veterans Home is straight ahead. Building 19 is the main entrance.
West
Take either Hwy 394 or Hwy 55 East to Hwy 94 going East toward St. Paul. Take 94 to Hwy 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) going South. Take Hiawatha all the way to E 46th Street and then take a left. Take E46th Street to 46th Avenue S and then take a Right on 46th Avenue S. Go one block to the stop sign, in front of you will be the entrance to the Minnesota Veterans Home Campus, follow the long road into the campus. You’ll see Building 19, the main entrance.
