We look forward to answering your questions about Resident admissions, requirements and the application process to the Minnesota Veterans Homes.

Admission Requirements

All Residents must require skilled nursing care. Eligible Residents include:

• Veterans discharged under honorable conditions from any branch of the U.S. armed forces and a current resident of Minnesota, who served 181 consecutive days on active duty, unless discharged earlier because of disability incurred in the line of duty.
• Spouses of eligible Veterans, who must be at least 55 years old and meet residency requirements.
• Veterans or Veteran spouses must meet Minn. Stat. 197.447.

Residents contribute to the cost of their care according to their means. For questions or more information, contact the benefit coordinator of each Home. Hear from one of our Veterans Benefit Coordinators in this short video.
