American Legion Scholarship - American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for Non-Traditional Students. Applicant must be a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion and shall have paid dues for the two preceding years and for the calendar year in which application is made. The applicant must also be a student who has had at least one year of college and is in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate degree. Check with your local American Legion for additional scholarship opportunities.
AMVETS - Dr. Aurelio M. Caccomo Family Foundation Memorial Scholarship - The Dr. Aurelio M. Caccomo Family Foundation Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Veterans, including members of the National Guard and Reserves, who are seeking new skills in order to be competitive in the job market.
AMVETS National Scholarship Program - The AMVETS National Scholarship Program is available to financially assist Veterans who have exhausted government aid, or who might not otherwise have the financial means to continue their education.
AMVETS Scholarships - AMVETS annually awards scholarships to Veterans/active military, their sons, daughters or grandchildren. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased Veteran is also eligible.
Carol E. Macpherson Memorial Scholarship Fund - The Carol E. Macpherson Memorial Scholarship provides awards to promising women-identified students with a five-year or longer accumulative gap in their post-secondary education, and are seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree from a Minnesota college or university (FT or half-time). Established in 1975, the Carol E. Macpherson Memorial Scholarship (CEM) memorializes Carol’s undying concern for fairness, for providing opportunities for women to find new paths, for the value of a thinking mind to ask difficult questions, and for respecting the nurturing roles women continue to play even as they take on various new responsibilities in their families and communities. CEM is a private family scholarship, administered in partnership with AAUW-Minnesota.
Carnegie Hero Fund - Established April 15, 1904, by Andrew Carnegie, the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission was created to recognize outstanding acts of selfless heroism performed in the United States and Canada.
CNC Machines; Veteran to Machinist Scholarship Program - Applicants will be required to submit a Max 1,000 word essay and a Min 500 words detailing why you want to become a machinist and/or be part of the manufacturing industry. Include your story, how your skills apply, and where you see yourself in the future. All submissions must include a DD214 to be considered.
CPT James Ahn Special Forces Memorial Scholarship - Captain James Ahn, died in 2015 during a parachute training operation while participating with his Special Forces unit in Washington State. In James’ honor, we are sponsoring an annual scholarship of $1,000 to a Special Forces Veteran who is working towards the completion of a higher education degree.
Dr. Steve and Darla Frantz Leadership Endowed Scholarship - This scholarship program is intended to provide financial assistance to Minnesota State college and universities students who demonstrate leadership in academics, extracurricular activities and community or national service with a priority given to those who are serving or have served in good standing in any branch of the United States Military or other U.S. national service and have exhausted federal and state service related education benefits excluding the Minnesota GI Bill.
Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship - This scholarship provides an additional nine months of CH 33 Post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefit (not to exceed $30,000) to beneficiaries pursuing programs in science and technology.

Grand Lodge Matching Funds Scholarship Program - Minnesota Masonic Charities matches scholarship funds that Lodges and Chapters award to local students.
"Hire Our Heroes" Scholarships and Tool Grants for Returning Veterans and Their Families - 3M is offering special opportunities for deserving collision repair students that are currently serving or have recently served in the military. Special awards will also be available for current collision repair students that have immediate family members who are currently serving or have recently served in the military.
Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship - The Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship is awarded to Veterans who have served under the United States Military Operation in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan or Operation Iraqi Freedom beginning Sept. 11, 2001 or later.
Leave No Veteran Behind Retroactive Scholarship - Leave No Veteran Behind provides a retroactive scholarship that pays off the student loans of Veterans who have completed some form of higher education and meet their eligibility requirements. The organization also provides employment training opportunities for Veterans who are seeking to enter the civilian workforce.
Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship - The Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship is available to the recipient of a Purple Heart; a direct descendant of a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart or of a Veteran killed in action or who died of wounds; or a spouse or widow/widower of a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Minnesota National Guard Scholarships - Minnesota National Guard has several options for scholarships.
Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society - Visit the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Education Programs site for a listing of education programs available to help eligible Navy and Marine Corps families pursue their academic goals by providing a source of education financing.
NBCC Foundation - The NBCC Foundation Military Scholarship Program is designed to encourage Service Members and Veterans to pursue careers in professional counseling. The program provides financial support to students who enroll, or seek to enroll, in a CACREP accredited counseling program during or after military service, and who commit to serving military personnel.
Pat Tillman Foundation (Veterans/Military) - The Pat Tillman Foundation has announced that the new Leadership Through Action - Tillman Military Scholars program is accepting applications. Individuals eligible for the Leadership Through Action - Tillman Military Scholars program include Veterans and active Service Members of both pre- and post- 9/11 service; Service Members who wish to start, finish, or further their education; Service Members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserve); Service Members pursuing undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, two-year, four-year, public, private, vocational, and trade degrees or certifications; and spouses of Service Members. Application deadlines apply.
Sport Clips Help a Hero Scholarship - VFW and one of its major supporters, Sport Clips Haircuts, have again partnered to help our Veterans and their families. The VFW "Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship" will provide service members and Veterans with the financial assistance they need to complete their educational goals without incurring excessive student loan debt. It’s just another way to say “thank you” to those who deserve it the most!
Student Veterans of America and Raytheon Engineering Scholarship - Student Veterans of American and Raytheon have partnered to provide three (3) $10,000 STEM scholarships to student Veterans pursuing engineering degrees or a degree in a closely related field.
The Army Women's Foundation (AWF) Legacy Scholarships - AWF recognizes the value of education. The AWF is committed to helping Army women and their children achieve their educational goals and aspirations. The Foundation's Legacy Scholarship Program is available to all Army women - active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve and their children. This is our small way to thank them for their service!
Troops to Trades Scholarships - Troops To Trades was started in order to honor the thousands of individuals transitioning into the civilian workforce, and to help them find satisfying and successful careers. Troops to Trades is a program of the Nexstar Legacy Foundation, that provides scholarships and career contacts within the plumbing, heating/cooling and electrical residential services industries.
University of Minnesota U Promise Scholarship - The U Promise Scholarship has provided gift support to low and middle income University students since 2005. Students are automatically considered for these scholarships by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Van Hipp Heroes Scholarship - Administered by the National Guard Educational Foundation, the Van Hipp Heroes Scholarship is for current or former National Guard members wounded in an operational or training mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation New Dawn.
VeteranAid.org Scholarship - VeteranAid.org, the leading online resource for information on veterans' Aid & Attendance pension benefit, is proud to announce our second annual scholarship for advancement in higher education. This is a general scholarship which will award each of the selected applicants with a scholarship award of $2,000. This scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the academic year.
Veterans United Scholarship Program through the Veterans United Foundation - A non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives or Veterans and military families nationwide. This scholarship may be available to active-duty service members, Veterans, spouse of military member or Veteran, surviving spouse of a fallen soldier, or child of military member or Veteran.
VFW Military Scholarships - The VFW's Military Scholarship program provides 25 $3,000 scholarships annually to VFW members who are currently serving in uniform or have been discharged within the 36 months before the December 31 deadline.
The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program and The Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Program - The Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship Program and Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Program provide renewable scholarships for Veterans and spouses of disabled Veterans worth up to $10,000 and immediate, small grants for Veterans and spouses of disabled Veterans.
Air Force Aid Society General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program - The Air Force Aid Society General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program provides $2,000 grants to selected sons and daughters of active duty, Title 10 AGR/Reserve, Title 32 AGR performing full-time active duty, retired, retired reserve and deceased Air Force members; spouses (stateside) of active duty members and Title 10 AGR/Reservists; and surviving spouses of deceased personnel for their undergraduate studies.
American Legion Legacy Scholarship - The American Legion Legacy Scholarship is available for children or legally adopted children of active duty U.S. military and Guard, and Reserve personnel who were federalized and died on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.

Army Emergency Relief: MG James Ursano Scholarship Program - The MG James Ursano Scholarship program is for dependent children of Soldiers on federal active duty, retired, or deceased while in active or retired status.
Army Emergency Relief: Mrs. Patty Shinseki Spouse Scholarship - The Spouse Education Assistance Program (SEAP) is a need-based education program designed to provide spouses of active duty or retired Soldiers with financial assistance to pursue a 4-year college degree. Applicants must apply each year, and scholarship awards do not exceed four academic years.
Bryant & Stratton College - Bryant & Stratton College Online created the Salute to Spouses scholarship after the US Government temporarily suspended MyCAA in 2010. At Bryant & Stratton College Online we are proud to support our troops, and you - the spouses - who also deserve the support of your country.

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation - The mission of Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation is to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to the children of military personnel who have been killed in the line of duty. Their goal is to bridge the gap in funding between available sources of grants and scholarships (i.e., VA Chapter 33 or 35, federal, state, local and private grants) and the total cost of college. They hope to ensure that no child covered by their mission has to go out-of-pocket or take on loans to pay for college.
Daniel Drevnick Scholarship - The Daniel Drevnick Scholarship has been established to assist Veterans in the transition from military service to civilian law enforcement. The fund is awarded twice yearly to an outstanding Veteran or family member of a Veteran. The memorial fund promotes the values of freedom, opportunity, responsibility, compassion and morality...because that is what Daniel stood for.
Fallen Heroes Children's Education Fund - This education fund will be used to provide funding for education accounts setup in the names of the children of Minnesota’s fallen soldiers. Eligible children are those surviving sons and daughters, including step-children, of fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the conflicts in Afghanistan or Iraq. There are no other qualifications necessary and no application process.
Folds of Honor Foundation - Folds of Honor Foundation (FHF) provides post-secondary educational scholarships to the spouses and children of Service Members disabled or killed as a result of their military service to our great nation. Our unique scholarships can be applied to schooling now or held by Folds of Honor on behalf of young children until needed at the time of enrollment.
