On Monday the 23rd, the Governor will give his yearly State of the State address. This will be his opportunity to lay out his plan for the state budget and how he will govern over the next year. Then on Tuesday he will release his budget plan. Expect an update next week that outlines his budget recommendations for MDVA and other issues that affect Veterans in Minnesota.
At 1 p.m. on Monday in Room 5 of the State Office Building, the Veterans Affairs Division will deliberate over five bills (HFs 119, 127, 232, 261 and 321). The committee will also hear presentations from the American Legion and VFW.
The Senate Veterans and Military Affairs will meet on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. in Room 1100 of the Minnesota Senate Building.
