Ashley Bormann has been named Administrator for the Minnesota Veterans Home - Montevideo, which is scheduled to open in mid-2023.

Ashley has served as a Nursing Home Administrator since 2014. She brings experience with planning and opening new facilities to this role as well as a passion for ensuring the best quality of care and quality of life for Residents.

A graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, Ashley obtained a degree in healthcare management with an emphasis in long-term care administration.

She will be actively involved in the ongoing planning to complete construction and open the Montevideo Veterans Home in summer 2023. Ashley will also be participating in the interviewing and selection of other Montevideo Veterans Homes leaders in the coming weeks and months. Additional announcements for clinical and operational positions will be shared on the Minnesota Careers website.

Ashley and her husband Scott have connections to the Montevideo region. They are looking forward to moving back to the greater community with their three young children where her husband will continue running the family farm.

Ashley’s first day was January 4. Until the Home opens next summer, she and her leadership team will be working from a temporary community office space located at 202 North 1st Street in Montevideo. Welcome, Ashley, to the team!

Montevideo is expected to fill approximately 165 full-time and part-time positions to be fully staffed. Positions will include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Recreation Therapists, Accounting/ Finance, Housekeepers, Facility Maintenance, Skilled Trades and Dietary/Food Services.
