In recognition of September as Suicide Prevention Month and October 1 as Minnesota Veteran Suicide Prevention and Awareness Day, we meet Marine Corps Veteran Dan who served in Iraq. During Dan’s deployment to Iraq, he experienced situations that deeply impacted him. Shortly after he concluded his military service, Dan lost his brother to suicide. His struggles resulted in Dan attempting suicide. Through treatment and support, Dan is committed to redirecting his pain to help other Veterans who are struggling.
