About our Allies

We especially honor the contributions of our allies who stood shoulder-to-shoulder with American forces during the Vietnam War. Our Cambodian, Hmong, Laotian, Thai and Vietnamese allies fought valiantly alongside Minnesotans, sharing the hardships and sacrifices of that conflict. Their courage and commitment to freedom helped shape the state we know today. We invite all Vietnam War veterans from allied nations who now call Minnesota home to join us in this commemoration. This is a day to honor all who served and a chance to celebrate their cultures that make Minnesota strong. Learn more about our allies in the Vietnam War below.
