WHAT:

The Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Fort Snelling National Cemetery Memorial Rifle Squad, the Minnesota Historical Society and the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs are hosting the 77th Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. This event is to acknowledge “December 7th, 1941, a date which will live in infamy,” and honor those who perished on that day, but also remember those that live on to tell the history of that inauspicious day. The keynote speaker will be Richard Klobuchar, a recognized author with a keen interest in WW II and in specific Pearl Harbor. Among Klobuchar’s books is “The USS Ward: An Operational History of the Ship that Fired the First American Shot of World War II.” which has local ties to Minnesota.

Please note: Free parking will be available in the visitor center lot, and there is no cost to attend the ceremony.
