SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) is pleased to announce the selection of Michael Anderson as Administrator of the Minnesota State Veterans Home in Hastings. Anderson begins his role today at the domiciliary care facility.

Anderson has more than seven years of experience in the health care sector. Before joining MDVA he worked as the Executive Director at the Frazee Care Center, which is part of Health Dimensions Group. There he led the overall operations and provided an environment of high quality resident centered care.

“Mr. Anderson’s experience and his passion for delivering excellent health care are a good fit for our Veterans Homes,” said MDVA Commissioner Larry Shellito. “We are pleased to have Mr. Anderson join our team of dedicated professionals here at MDVA, who remain committed to providing the best care possible to this country’s heroes.”

The Minnesota Veterans Home – Hastings is dedicated to providing a full continuum of high-quality care and service focusing on rehabilitation, reintegration into the community, and supportive care for optimal enrichment of Residents' lives.

“I am excited to join all of the hardworking people of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs,” said Michael Anderson. “It is a great honor for me to serve Veterans in this capacity, and I will focus my attention to the mission, vision, and values of this organization.”

Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management with an emphasis in long-term care administration from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. He and his wife, Allysa and their two boys will be relocating from the Perham area and are looking forward to joining the community.
