Little Falls State Veterans Cemetery Hosts Guests for American Legion’s 100th Anniversary

WHAT:

The media is invited to join members of the American Legion National Security Commission during a visit to the State Veterans Cemetery - Little Falls Friday, August 24. Charles E. Kruger, Chairman of the Conventional Armed Forces Committee, George W. Wehrli, Chairman of the Law and Order Homeland Security Committee and William B. Goede, Chairman of the National Guard Reserve Forces Committee will be on site at the cemetery Friday morning. They are visiting Minnesota for the American Legion’s National Convention, which is celebrating its 100th year. Charles Kapsner, the commissioned artist for the Veterans Art Monument project will also be in attendance to provide an in-depth description of his paintings during the tour.

The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery - Little Falls was the first State Veterans Cemetery in Minnesota. It opened in 1994 and is located seven miles north of Little Falls. The State Veterans Cemetery offers a final resting place for Minnesota Veterans and their families. For more information visit MinnesotaVeteran.org/Cem.
