Special Dedication at Minneapolis Veterans Home to Honor Vietnam Veteran Skip Schmidt & Family

WHAT:

The media is invited to attend a special dedication in Building 22 at the Minneapolis Veterans Home on June 13, at 10 a.m. The room will be dedicated to South Minneapolis native Wallace R. (Skip) Schmidt, a Vietnam Veteran, Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient and member of the “The Twins Platoon.” The dedication will also honor Residents and families associated with the Vietnam War. The dedication will remember those who served in the Vietnam War, those who did not come home, or those who did not make it all the way home.  The event will include special music, a presentation to the Schmidt family and keynote address by “The Twins Platoon” author Christy W. Sauro Jr.
