Grand Opening Dedication of the Minneapolis Veterans Home Building 22

WHAT:

The media is invited to attend a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony of Building 22 at the Minneapolis Veterans Home on Thursday, March 22 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will honor Residents and families, and marks completion of the third and final phase of project to modernize and update the Minneapolis Veterans Home campus. The updates incorporate the industry standard of Resident-centered care and private rooms and bathrooms. Additional highlights include Resident great rooms, balconies, gardens, a courtyard, putting green and a walking path.

The ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony will feature a patriotic program including the VFW Color Guard, with remarks by members of the Veterans community and state leaders. Special music will be provided by Copper Street Brass Quintet, and refreshments and tours of the new space will follow the formal program. Residents are scheduled to begin moving into the new building the week of March 26.
