Dedication Planned for Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston

WHAT:    

A dedication ceremony is planned for Minnesota’s newest State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, Minn. The second State Veterans Cemetery in Minnesota is located on 169-acres, which were donated by Fillmore County. Construction was complete in late 2015, and the first Veterans were laid to rest on Veterans Day, 2015. The dedication event, hosted by the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, will include special music by the Red Bull Brass Quintet, a flag line by the Rochester Patriot Guard, flyovers of World War II aircraft, a rifle salute, special speakers and more.

* Limited seating is available; guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs.
