MDVA Names Assistant Commissioner of Its Healthcare Division

St. Paul, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) named Diane Lynch-deCombhs, to the new position of Assistant Commissioner - Healthcare Division.

Lynch-deCombhs is a seasoned healthcare operations leader with more than 20 years of experience. She is deeply committed to serving Veterans and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care. Most recently, Lynch-deCombhs held the role of Division Administrator of Veterans Homes for the State of Wisconsin where she oversaw multiple campuses driving transformational change and promoting a strong culture of quality and accountability.

Previously Lynch-deCombhs spent more than 19 years in the private sector leading senior care campuses including rehab centers and skilled nursing facilities across several states. Her experience includes overseeing and directing several startup skilled care construction projects. She is recognized for her ability to unite teams, strengthen organizational culture and deliver lasting operational improvements.

Lynch-deCombhs currently serves as the president of the National Association of State Veterans Homes.

She holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a BA in Healthcare Management. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and will serve as the supervisor and leader of our Veterans Home Administrators. She will work in close collaboration with the Healthcare Division Executive Team in the oversight of the eight Minnesota Veterans Homes.
