Preston Veterans Home Welcomes New Director of Nursing

Preston, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) announced that Stephanie Juhl, RN, is joining the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Preston as Director of Nursing.

Juhl most recently was the Director of Nursing for the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Domiciliary (DOMS) Program at Hastings and Minneapolis. She has been with the DOMS program for seven years and was integral in the development of its One Program, Two Sites, Three Paths mission.

Juhl started her career with MDVA at the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Minneapolis as an RN Senior - Nurse Educator in 2017. She then became the RN Supervisor of the DOMS Program - Minneapolis. Juhl has also held positions as an administrator of a psychiatric hospital for the Department of Human Services and was a correctional nurse, specializing in infection prevention and quality management. Prior to that, she was a director of home care and hospice for a medical center, director of nursing for a skilled facility, and a public health nurse.

Juhl earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Prior to earning this degree, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Human Services Technician.
