Fergus Falls, Minn. – The Veteran Residents of the Minnesota Veterans Homes - Fergus Falls are grateful for a significant donation from Boots on the Ground. The executive board of the philanthropic organization recently presented a $30,000 check to the Fergus Falls Veterans Home following their successful 2024 summer and fall motorcycle fun run events. The activities generated donations aimed at supporting the Home’s Resident events, recreational activities and other essential needs.

Boots on the Ground was created in 2014 to honor the Veterans residing at the Minnesota Veterans Homes in Fergus Falls. This year, the funds will be allocated to four programs to benefit Residents:

  • Resident haircuts - $15,000
  • Bingo sponsorships - $2,000
  • Pool table for the Veterans Village - $5,000
  • Recreation fund - $8,00

"We deeply appreciate the unwavering commitment Boots on the Ground has shown our Veteran Residents and spouses," says Jonathan Stone, administrator of the Fergus Falls Veterans Home. "Their generosity over the years has been truly remarkable. Thanks to the dedication and kind hearts of our community and their gracious sponsors, our Veterans enjoy numerous activities and outings. We are infinitely grateful and look forward to our continued partnership."
