Free Bus Transportation for Veterans to Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Event
MDVA partnerships will allow Vietnam Veterans to take part in the three-day event at the Mall of America, June 13-15, by providing free charter bus transportation in select locations
ST. PAUL, Minnesota – The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) and the Minnesota Veterans 4 Veterans Trust Fund (V4V), with assistance from the Disabled American Veterans, Dept. of Minnesota (DAV MN), are proud to announce they are partnering with organizations and groups across the state to bring Veterans to the Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration Event at the Mall of America June 13-15.
“We want to ensure as many Vietnam Veterans and family members as possible can attend this important event,” said Brad Lindsay, MDVA Commissioner. “Through these partnerships, MDVA and V4V, with the assistance of DAV MN, are covering 100% of the cost of a charter bus or large van from communities across the state. We are encouraging many buses to come to Mall of America for all the festivities, on one or on all three days, particularly the official Commemoration Program on Friday, June 14.”
Veterans wishing to ride a bus to the event can visit Minnesota Veteran.org/Vietnam50 for a full list of available buses and cities.
