/mdva/assets/2024-06-12-V50-save-the-date_tcm1066-620207.pdfMDVA, in cooperation with numerous affiliated and unaffiliated stakeholders, commemorates Minnesota’s Vietnam Veterans and the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War​.

The Commemoration will take place at the Mall of America, in the North Entrance and Atrium.

The goals of this Commemoration are to:

• Provide an opportunity for healing by thanking and honoring Minnesota Vietnam-era Veterans wherever they served.​
• Highlight the service of the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War​.
• Recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by allies of the United States during the Vietnam War, especially those who have made Minnesota their home.​

The planned Commemoration will include:

• Multi-day Resource Fair/Information Tables to provide a “one-stop shop” for Vietnam Veterans seeking information on VA and MDVA benefits and community services.
• Multi-day historical displays from the Minnesota Military and Veterans Museum including screening of Vietnam War documentaries and an indoor replica of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall.
• Live taping of Minnesota Military Radio program: Thursday, June 13 at 1 p.m.
• Commemoration Event with speakers, music and story sharing: Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m. - a live stream is available here.
  
• Free brunch after the event.
