StudentsAccording to the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) Department of Education and Employment, around 11,000 Veterans are currently enrolled in a variety of public and private colleges and universities across the state.

MDVA and the Office of Education and Employment are dedicated to providing Veterans, active military members, and their families with an abundance of resources and benefits in the pursuit of their higher education goals.

Stemming from multiple initiatives passed by Minnesota Legislature in 2006, Veterans and their educational opportunities are supported by a range of programs.

For a list of Higher Education Veterans Programs available to Minnesota Veterans, see the Minnesota Veterans Education Benefits Guide.

On-campus Resource Centers are located on all Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and on most private campuses across the state. They provide essential help and guidance through all chapters of the Higher Education process for Veterans and other applicants looking to achieve their goals.

The MDVA Higher Education Veterans Program Coordinators offer great tools for Veterans looking for assistance with benefits, policies, and course issues. They work to advocate for policies and procedures which benefit Veterans and their families.
