2017-11-20-ctf-logoThe Commanders’ Task Force (CTF) members have been selected along with their new CTF Chairman, Robert Saddoris. Saddoris is Commander of Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota (DAV). Saddoris was elected as State Commander of the 20,000 member organization at their annual convention held in Duluth in April 2017.

The Minnesota Commanders’ Task Force was created in 1988 and is comprised of nine congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organizations. As the elected leaders of these respective organizations, they meet regularly to discuss the many issues affecting Veterans and their families. The CTF is dedicated to serving Minnesota’s more than 350,000 Veterans and their families through the unified development and support of legislative initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Veterans, their families and communities.

The diverse backgrounds of each Commander plays an important role in how they work together to come to solutions and how they assist Veterans in the State of Minnesota. American Legion, American Veterans (AMVETS), Disabled American Veterans, Jewish War Veterans, Marine Corps League, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Minnesota Paralyzed Veterans of America and Vietnam Veterans of America are the nine congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organizations. Each of these organizations have individual missions to help Veterans, but come together with the Commanders’ Task Force to ensure Minnesota’s Legislators understands the needs of Veterans and work together to pass laws that make sure Minnesota Veterans are provided with the proper care they have earned through their service.

We welcome all our new CTF members for 2017-2018 and hope they accomplish all their goals this year to help better the lives of Minnesota Veterans!
