The Support Our Troops (SOT) Grant process is now open!
 
Since 1993, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) provides over 90 grants yearly to Minnesota Veteran organizations.  These grants, in the past, have been awarded to legislatively directed Minnesota Veteran organizations whose mission is to assist Veterans and their families, but are now available to a wide array of companies that seek to improve the lives of Veterans and their families.

In 2005, the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs established the Minnesota Support Our Troops License Plate Program. The license plate program was created to help raise additional funds for the growing amount of organizations that serve Veterans.

This year, utilizing the funds raised from the license plate program, MDVA launched a new competitive SOT Grant Program which allows additional organizations to apply for funding. MDVA is seeking grant proposals for projects ranging from $1,000 to $100,000 that are focused on supporting and improving the lives of Veterans and their families.
