    REMINDER TO ALL ORGANIZATIONS: If your organization's gambling operation is the victim of a fraud, burglary or theft, notify the Minnesota Gambling Control Board at 651-539-1900 immediately.  Also, be sure to check ticket serial numbers prior to redeeming and defacing winning tickets.

    Burglary Warning for Gambling Operations

    The Minnesota Gambling Control Board and the Department of Public Safety are warning organizations about a recent increase in burglaries targeting pull-tab dispensing machines.

    To help reduce the risk of theft:

    • Do not store money in the dispensing machine other than what’s in the machine's cash box.

    • Remove cash as frequently as possible.

    • Report suspicious activity immediately to local law enforcement; the Department of Public Safety at 651-201-7500; or the Gambling Control Board at 651-539-1900.

    Please share this information with all staff and volunteers involved in your gambling operation.
