10% Mandatory Local Contribution Fund Information (by City)
This page provides Mandatory Local Contribution Fund data from Minnesota cities for the last calendar year. Also known as the 10% Contribution Fund, cities or counties may require (by ordinance) organizations to contribute up to 10% per calendar year of net profits derived from lawful gambling conducted within their jurisdiction (Sec. 349.213, subd. 1). Net profits are calculated as gross profits less amounts expended for allowable expenses and lawful gambling taxes.
Use the search function below to find specific cities and view their mandatory local contribution information. The dashboard displays each city's contribution rate, previous year balance, interest earned, contributions made, expenditures from the fund, and year-end balance. Local units of government are required to spend these contribution funds in the same manner as licensed organizations, with restrictions on how the funds may be used.
Important Note: If your organization is required by your local unit of government to make a 10% Mandatory Local Contribution but your local unit of government is not listed below, please contact the Minnesota Gambling Control Board at 651-539-1900.
