Minnesota State Capitol surrounded by flowers, decorative grass, and trees, with Commission logo and text,

SF507 is a bill that would require school districts to adopt policies and processes to provide accommodations to parents with disabilities or parents who use another language at home, so the parents can be involved in their child's Individualized Education Program (IEP) without barriers. Some of our disability advocate community partners are gathering stories via this survey:

IEP Accessibility Bill survey

If you are a parent with a disability who has a child with an IEP, we encourage you to share your story through the survey. You may also contact our government relations director Alicia Lane at alicia.lane@state.mn.us to share your story.

SF507 is currently scheduled to be heard by the Senate Education Policy committee on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 12:30 PM.
