Emergency Preparedness for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing Students

emergency-preparedness-for-dhh

Workshop description

Emergencies can happen at any time and in any setting. It is important to prepare for these situations so that all students remain safe. There are certain considerations that need to be made when thinking about the safety of students who are deaf, deafblind, or hard of hearing in emergency situations. In this session we will work together to identify current practices, brainstorm ways in which to improve practices, and find ways to advocate for the safety of our students.
