Elise Knopf is a Rehabilitation Area Manager with the State of Minnesota’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) Division under the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
Elise provides technical assistance and consultation to Minnesota VRS Administration and staff regarding the provision of quality services to participants that are deaf and hard of hearing statewide and assisted with the drafting of the revised Model State Plan under the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR).
She has her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling from Gallaudet University and her Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Women’s Studies from Cornell College. She worked with US Senator Tom Harkin, both in his Washington, DC office and at the Subcommittee on Disability Policy, as a Legislative Correspondent, during the passage of the ADA and has over 35 years of experience in a variety of educational, employment, state, federal and non-profit settings. Elise is also a graduate of the Emerging Leaders’ Institute with the state of Minnesota.
