Barry is a graduate of Gallaudet University (BS-1973, MBA-1982). He has participated in many Minnesota deaf clubs as a leader, follower, or volunteer over the years. He has been involved with numerous non-profits performing accounting, finance and reporting functions to staff, management and various boards. Barry is proud to be one of the Founders of the Metro Deaf School, a successful charter school in Saint Paul, MN.
He is currently the President of the Minnesota Deaf Senior Citizens, Inc., a Minnesota non-profit corporation with a growing membership base (over 300 members thus far). Barry feels that it is important that there is a deaf senior presence on the Commission.
