ThinkSelf Minnesota Deaf Adult Education and Advocacy

Resource: ThinkSelf provides services statewide; its main office is in St. Paul. ThinkSelf has two main programs: Adult Education and Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocacy (DVSA) services. 

 ThinkSelf's Adult Education classes include English literacy, computer literacy, drivers' education, citizenship and American Sign Language. The Education program also offers support to learners in overcoming barriers to education, such as goal planning, transportation training, and assistance with accessing financial resources and support services.

ThinkSelf's DVSA advocacy program focuses on supporting people who have experienced crime, violence, and abuse - including safety planning, accessing financial and housing resources, connecting with other service providers, and navigating legal systems. ThinkSelf partners with mainstream DVSA advocacy agencies around the state to ensure access to options for safety and healing.
