Michael Haag, PharmD, is currently the Director of Pharmacy Operations at HealthPartners. Michael obtained his PharmD from the University of MN College of Pharmacy in 2000 and has a background in various divisions of pharmacy including retail, specialty, compounding, sterile product handling and managed care. Since joining the HealthPartners team in 2011, Michael has led strategic initiatives to advance the practice of pharmacy within the HealthPartners organization and allowing pharmacists to practice at the top of their licensure. Integrating pharmacy workflows with care delivery workflows helped improve patient experience, affordability, health outcomes and overall provider satisfaction. In 2017, Michael played an integral role in creating and implementing a successful specialty pharmacy focused primarily on serving oncology patients receiving care within the HealthPartners system. Throughout his pharmacy career, Michael has been active in partnering with internal government relation teams to understand, digest, evaluate and act on legislative issues affecting the practice of pharmacy.
