Kendra Metz

Vice President - Pharmacist Member - Moose Lake - Term Expiration: January 2024
Dr. Kendra Metz graduated in 2012 from the University of Minnesota, Duluth campus. For the following 10 years, she was the Pharmacist-in-Charge for Thrifty White in Moose Lake. With a passion for providing health services in rural areas, at her site she expanded immunizations, medication therapy management, and developed a Collaborative Practice Agreement. She values education and safety, which is evident in the numerous medication training presentations, opioid and naloxone projects, and other collaboration projects she has been involved in with local entities, Carlton County Public Health, Minnesota Department of Health and the University of Minnesota. Dr. Metz was awarded the 2020 APhA Bowl of Hygeia Award for her outstanding record of community service. Dr. Metz also promotes the pharmacy profession to pharmacy students as a preceptor, displaying a high level of care for patients, fellow healthcare providers, and long-term Care Facilities. She presently is a Teaching Specialist assisting with the Pharmaceutical Care Skills Lab at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Metz currently is the Program Manager for Retail Pharmacy Clinical Services with Essentia Health.
