Barbara Dröher Kline, MSW, worked for more than 20 years in county human services in Northern California in child welfare and in Minnesota as human services director in Le Sueur County and as the Adult Services Director in Hennepin County. She has 10 years of experience in nonprofit organizations and has been a financial advisor for Thrivent for more than 10 years. She was instrumental in adding community-based services to the Medicaid benefit set in Minnesota. She is well known for her advocacy in human services, disability services and especially in mental health. She is also currently consulting with Le Sueur County on broadband. She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Luther College and a master’s degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University.
Barbara is a public member and was appointed by Governor Tim Walz in 2023.
