Hello, my name is Christine Morgan and I am the president of the Hearing Loss Association of America, Twin Cities Chapter. I am also a certified Hearing Loss Support Specialist and serve on several committees related to hearing loss.
Congress is about to vote on the Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act of 2017. If passed, it will reduce the cost for consumers, spur innovation, and increase competition. Consumers with mild to moderate hearing loss would be able to purchase over the counter hearing aids and can even bring them in to their audiologist to customize them for their hearing needs. The act includes language that requires hearing aids to meet evidence-based performance standards. Affordable and quality hearing health care is possible!
Contact your Senators and Representatives and tell them that they can make a huge difference simply by supporting the Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act of 2017.
If you don’t know who your Senators and Representatives are, finding them is easy!
Find your Representative at United States House of Representatives.
Minnesota has two Senators. They are Senator Amy Klobuchar and Senator Al Franken. Contact them at United States Senator Amy Klobuchar (1-888-224-9043) and United States Senator Al Franken (651-221-1016).
