State Services for the Blind is initiating a rulemaking process to update the rules that govern our work in our workforce development (vocational rehabilitation) and senior services departments. Collecting public comments is an important part of developing these rules, and the public comment period is now open;
The rulemaking process gives State Services for the Blind (SSB) a structured roadmap to update and align its daily procedures and policies with laws and best practices. By revising these rules, SSB aims to improve the overall experience and outcomes for our staff, community partners, and most of all, our customers. Public participation is a vital part of the rulemaking process, and SSB warmly invites your comments to help shape these standards and ensure they best reflect the needs of those we serve.
The rulemaking process helps clarify the statutory language that governs our work. You can read the current statute we now operate under (Chapter 3325) at this page on the website of the State Revisor's Office.
You can submit comments on this page from the Court of Administrative Hearings.
