Solar for All
NEW: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced that Minnesota will receive $62.4 million to provide financial assistance (grants, loans and credit enhancements), workforce development, interconnection and pre-development technical assistance, energy navigators, community engagement and education as part of $7 billion in Solar for All grants issued across America. The Solar for All (SFA) program is designed to expand existing programs or support new programs for residential-serving solar to benefit low-income and disadvantaged households.
The SFA Program has three objectives:
- Reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants.
- Deliver benefits of greenhouse gas-reducing and air pollution-reducing projects to American communities, particularly low-income and disadvantaged communities.
- Mobilize financing and private capital to stimulate additional deployment of greenhouse gas- and air pollution-reduction projects.
