Solar & Wind
Minnesota’s climate is getting warmer and wetter. Changes to our climate, such as heavier and more frequent rainfall events and warmer winters, are caused by human activities that release greenhouse gases.
Our changing climate has economic and environmental impacts for Minnesotans. Our state has experienced a much higher rate of natural disasters and higher number of individual storms causing more than $1 billion in damage (NCEI).
Minnesota has been, and will continue to be, a national leader on climate action because of the benefits for Minnesota consumers, businesses and communities. As we transition to a clean energy future, we will have safe, reliable, affordable and “homegrown” sources of energy.
