Vision Plan Changes

The Vision plan helps you pay for eyeglasses, contacts, Lasik, and more. You can sign up for the vision plan even if you waive SEGIP's medical insurance. 

If you have coverage through Davis Vision with Blue Cross, continue to use it through Dec. 31, 2025. Your coverage will automatically move to MetLife Vision unless you cancel it.

Beginning Jan. 1 2026, MetLife will offer SEGIP's Vision Plan through its Superior Vision Network. Participants who do not have access to Superior Vision Network providers within 30 miles, have access to an out-of-area Vision plan. For details and to confirm if this plan is available to you, call MetLife Vision Customer Service at 1-800-GET-MET8.

Just like the Blue Cross Davis Vision plan, your medical coverage through HealthPartners or Blue Cross pays for your annual eye exam. The vision plan helps pay for glasses, contacts, etc. 

During this Open Enrollment, you may:

• Add coverage for yourself
• Add coverage for your spouse, child, or other dependents
• Drop your coverage
• Drop the coverage you buy for your spouse, child, or other dependents
