Employees who set aside money in pre-tax daycare, transit, and medical/dental expense accounts have until Feb. 28, 2025, to submit reimbursement requests for 2024 expenses. 

·       Dependent Care Expense Account (DCEA) is use it or lose it. If you don’t submit eligible receipts by Feb. 28, you will lose any leftover 2024 funds.

·       Medical Dental Expense Accounts (MDEA) may allow you to carry over up to $640. If you qualify for carryover, you will lose any amount over $640 if you don’t submit eligible receipts by Feb. 28. If you do not qualify for carryover, you will lose your 2024 MDEA remaining balance if you don’t submit eligible receipts by Feb. 28.

·       Transit Expense Accounts are Parking (PKEA) and Bus pass/Vanpool (BVEA). The deadline to submit eligible receipts is 180 days from the date of service and no later than Feb. 28. These accounts have specific requirements for submission and carryover.
