Ope, I’m just gonna step right past ya.
Get ready to explore Minnesota – virtually – by participating in this exciting 28-day challenge to get more steps in, have fun, and feel great!
All you have to do is get up and move more – have a walking meeting, grab a friend and go for a walk outside, or try out a new activity – and track your activity to rise on the leaderboard and earn rewards. Uff da!
1. Set your goal – In this challenge, you decide how many steps you want to do each day. 5,000 steps? You’ve got it. 10,000 steps? Go for it.
2. Walk your walk – Once you’ve set your goal, get walking! Hit your goal each day of the challenge, from Sept. 12 to Oct. 9.
3. Track your steps – Track your activity and record it in Virgin Pulse. No wearable tech is required – you can track your time spent walking and Virgin Pulse will convert it into steps.
Got inspiration? You betcha. 28-days’ worth.
Be inspired by the sights of Minnesota on a virtual tour of the state while you rack up real miles by adding extra steps into your day. Each day you track your steps in Virgin Pulse, you’ll see a new ‘Tour de Minnesota’ card featuring a fun fact about our great state. Use it to discover new places to go and things to do year-round. Try uploading your steps daily – it’s more fun!
Earning points is easier than a Minnesota Goodbye.
When you successfully complete the challenge, you’ll earn 100 points toward your well-being reward. Earn 300 points by Oct. 31, and you’ll get $70 off your individual medical deductible next year. The challenge is open to all benefit-eligible state employees. Only employees enrolled in the Minnesota Advantage Health Plan are eligible for the 100-point reward.
