5 things to know about the new wellbeing program and reward

3/11/2020 10:56:33 AM

Last month, we launched a new wellbeing program to promote, encourage, and reward you for focusing on your health. Complete the program in Virgin Pulse now through Oct. 31, and we’ll pay the first $70 of your individual deductible starting next year.

Here are a few things you should know as you get started.

  • Tracking points: automatic vs. self report. Virgin Pulse automatically tracks your points when you complete activities through their platform. Points are also automatically tracked for select statewide campaigns, such as when you get your flu vaccine at a worksite clinic. You’ll need to report other activities manually, such as after a preventive care visit. To report completing an activity, login to Virgin Pulse and go to the Rewards tab.

  • Find more "freebies" in Virgin Pulse. Through Virgin Pulse, you’ll have access to an assortment of other health-related tools and resources. These “freebies” are available to support you in reaching your health goals, whatever they may be. However, you can only earn points by participating in eligible activities.

  • Look for changes next year. Each year, we’ll continue to evolve our wellbeing program. This includes revising our activities list or setting new benchmarks for points. For example, starting in 2021 you’ll have to earn 300 points receive the reward in 2022.

  • Don’t procrastinate. It takes time to complete the healthy activities. Many activities encourage healthy behaviors throughout a month. The sooner you start, the sooner you can cash-in on personal health benefits and secure your reward for next year.
